Halleluia - the taxes are done and e-filed! It's good to have that done. We always put it off, but it's done.
It's good to have this yearly duty, tho. It helps me remember all that my taxes do for me. They provide roads, safe drinking water, police protection, our military, and that doesn't even scratch the surface. But I don't want to get into political turf here. I'm just grateful for the opportunity to live in a country where I can take so much for granted. Yes, it's expensive, but to me, it's worth it!
It's also Palm Sunday and I've been thinking about friends in Helena who are doing a play at St. Paul's UMC, the topic of which is what went on the in kitchen at the Last Supper. It's an intriguing point of view and I only wish I could see this performance. Hoping they made a video of it. Way to go, Scow! Hope you didn't throw up from nervousness!
One of the great joys of my life over the past many years has been this group of women in Helena. We've met weekly since the fall of 1994. Guess that tells you how much we know about each other! That's been one of the harder things about moving to Arizona - not seeing them every Thursday. But we talk often, e-mail or text almost daily, and I've been back to Montana a couple of times to meet with them. Everyone should be blessed with these kind of friends. Here's to you, Susan, Phyllis, Terry, Laurie Ann, Lori, and thanks, Lex, for continuing to watch over us.
"Scow" had an amazing performance (as did the rest of the "cast of characters"). The only thing missing from this special day was you and Dean.
